　　央电视台的《动物世界》栏目，开播至今已经20年了,20年是一个人从孩童成长为青年、一个青年成长为壮年的关键时长。《动物世界》于今，正值青壮年之交的黄金时段。
　　记得是1984年，当时作为已被《动物世界》吸引了近二、三年的我和我的大学同学们虽忙于毕业论文的写作和为分配去向而思虑，但仍没有放弃聚在电视机旁收看《动物世界》的热忱．就是那个夜晚，我们欣赏了意义深远的“野生动物的节日”专辑。当鲜活、激越的画面，伴以赵忠祥先生特有的语调解说道：“终将有一天，所有的动物们都冲破关束它们的樊笼，奔向自然的时候，这一天将是野生动物们的盛大节目。”——在那一瞬间，作为观众的我们，完全被画面和解说词的魅力吸引了：这真是一种充满智哲的人文理念！大概就是那一期的特别节目，使我们开始坚定了要做《动物世界》忠实观众的愿望，也更使我们强化了人类和动物是朋友的理念，因为我们明晰了：所有的生物界的生命都是有着一种链式的、因果关联的一种缘分。
　　时隔又十年，我的几位资深同事告诉我：《动物世界》从1981年12月31日一开播，就受到了全国电视观众的关注，而上面我所提及的那一期题为“野生动物的节日”的特别节目，反响强烈，的确是《动物世界》播出的一个重要转折点。
　　1994年，中央电视台的编委会提议，在《动物世界》的基础上，衍生出一个更符合世界环境与发展理念的杂志性专题的栏目——《人与自然》。同时，也继续保留了原来的《动物世界》。于是，栏目更新，人员迭换，但《动物世界》这个栏目仍是电视观众热盼和倾心的一个精美品牌。回想起来，《动物世界》经历了由引进国外节目的译制、自拍国内的动物专辑和由主持人与专家双向主持的阶段与形态，而这历时20年的创办过程中，历数参与其中的编导、摄像等人员竟不足20位!值得一提的是：《动物世界》资深编导王洋老大哥，在患有严重肾病的几年中仍坚持几赴西藏拍摄专题系列片《西藏野生动物》，并在肾摘除手术后、坚持完成了该片的后期制作，其间历时五年……正是我的这些勤勤恳恳，任劳任怨，甘于吃苦的同事们、为《动物世界》的创办、发展进行了热诚的努力，使得他们在引进国外的、优秀的，关于动物选题的节目中，为观众做出了种种的贡献。同时，他们也身体力行的亲赴国内各个偏远的地区去拍摄中国本土上被保护的、稀有的、濒临灭绝的和仅属于中国的各类野生动物。他们所拍的节目曾经多次获得国内和国外相关选题评奖的优秀奖。
　　更重要的是，上述同仁们耐得住寂寞，甘于与动物“为伍”。在近20年的实践过程中，默默地为我们的电视观众提供着精美、好看而有启迪的作品。正是这二十几年的努力；使得我们的栏目，拥有了数目惊人的一大批忠实而热心的观众．也因为这些节目的影响，使得我们更为形象地理解了生物链的意义、生物的多样性、环境和发展的意义。毫不夸张地说：《动物世界》播出的20年历程，也就是中国电视观众改变环境与发展理念的教化过程。
　　在当今的世界上，智慧的人类应该有序地调整人与动物的关系，使我们所生存的世界的动物种类完整而健全。这是《动物世界》播出20年来不变初衷的主旨与主题。
　　在《动物世界》播出20年之际，我们原计划想约请我们的观众，作为参与者为《动物世界》写些观感与建议。没有想到，广泛的来信出乎我们的意料：数量之大，质量之高，让我们甚为感动——就是面前我们将要翻阅的这部书中，其体例、内容极为特殊：有特殊的诗文、特别的绘画，更有一些特别的观众——实际上是听众：竟用盲文为《动物世界》20年纪念而写作，用特殊的文字来表达这个栏目对他们单色世界的一种想像与理念的丰富……
　　最初，我们曾想把相关的来信放在《中国电视报》或有关的刊物上选择发表，但面对如此数量的观众的反响，我们只好精选其中优秀的作品结集出版，以表达20年来，中国的电视观众对《动物世界》这个栏目的关注、热爱，也借此表现我们的栏目对观众的影响……
　　最后，我想用《动物世界》资深工作者、着名播音员赵忠祥先生的一段话来结束这篇短文：“观赏野生动物的一个途径就是收看《动物世界》等节目。没有一个动物园会有我们《动物世界》的野生物种多。我们感谢怀着爱心、付出辛苦的所有摄影、编辑人员，让我们怀着希望、怀着爱心，使21世纪的我们的大家园更加美好。”

伟大工程巡礼1：罗纳德·里根号航母
　　罗纳德·里根号超级航母令人望而生畏，犹如巨大的机械蜂巢，部署着众多致命战机。它就是一座有六千居民、严阵以待的小型城市。“尼米兹”级航空母舰－它是目前世界上吨位最大、在役数量最多的一级核动力航空母舰，其首制舰于1975年服役，迄今共服役7艘，第8、第9艘正处于建造中。该级航空母舰满载排水量在91000吨以上，从第5艘起由于加装了几千吨重的装甲防护板，使其满载排水量增至102000吨，成为世界有史以来最大的舰船。

　　德国的高速公路全长将近七千三百哩，相当于美国宽度的两倍，路面总面积约和蒙大拿州一样。它之所以有名，不仅是因为它是一项精准的工程杰作，更是因为它是个无速限公路系统。其实德国高速公路约只有一半不设速度限制，车辆的平均速度也只有时速八十哩。但只要你敢开快车，你就能在这条道路上尽情奔驰。本节目将带领观众看看德国高速公路的建造、营运和维护过程，并体验在这条超级高速公路驰骋的快感。

　　两个数百年来一直相互敌视国家被海峡分隔。有人想在一百米深处挖一条连接两国的隧道，赌注是数十亿英镑和八千名隧道工人的生命。但海水涌入、火灾和财务问题，使海底隧道的建设从一开始就险象环生、困难重重。

　　西尔斯大厦向空中伸展近半公里，直指芝加哥的天空。铝和玻璃打造的外墙包裹着42万平方米的空间。我们深入探索这座高楼，揭示它运转畅通的奥秘。这栋大楼是北美洲最高的办公楼。最高可用楼层是第110层，楼顶的高度是442米。若是在这个庞然大物旁边，把六架波音747客机迭加起来，还比西尔斯大厦矮了28米左右。这可不是一般的高楼。

　　在一个空间紧缺的地方，你会让飞机在哪里起降？日本人的回答是，在关西国际机场。1987年，当时全球最大的人工岛破土动工。大阪湾由松软的粘土构成，并不适合修建跑道。为了解决下沉问题，工程师们采用了沙桩排水技术：将沙子里的水吸出来，以支撑机场的地基。

日本明石海峡大桥，全球最高、最长、造价最昂贵的悬索桥，横跨日本最危险最繁忙的海运航道。从来没有一座桥可以修建在这样一个地方，这里地处台风区，风速可达每小时290公里，足以刮起屋顶，将大树连根拔起，更糟的是，它位于一个地震带的中心。曾有人断言：明石海峡大桥永远不可能建成。如今，大桥已经顺利通车了，但将来会怎么样呢？

　　 当美国军方需要另一部坦克或是六架直升机，唯有一个方法能够快速送达所需：重新定义何谓庞然大物的C-5运输机。这是巨型的飞行仓库。长度将近是一个美式足球场、同时有6层楼那么高。C-5运输机的翼展为68公尺，能以时速788公里巡航，货舱和八个保龄球道一样大，不仅能快速将大型装备送往任何地方，续航力也形同不受限制。靠着空中加油机的协助，C-5运输机能在飞行途中进行加油。本集节目将介绍C-5银河运输机的关键任务：将重达58513公斤的装甲武器送交给位于伊拉克的部队，同时也将揭露其中的飞行秘辛。

美国军舰弗吉尼亚号，是用高科技武装起来的潜艇，它有着令人惊叹的能力。它是世界上最先进、功能最多的潜艇，也是有史以来最复杂的潜艇。潜艇成员都是美国海军中最训练有素的精英。它能用毁灭性的鱼雷对其他舰船发动进攻，也能发射巡航导弹，准确无误地打击内陆1000英里内的目标。弗吉尼亚号潜艇的潜水深度可达800英尺。潜艇所配置的最精密传感器，使它的监视和监听能力超过了其它所有的美国潜艇。该潜艇能通过自动导航系统，缓缓穿过浅水区，抵达确切的坐标位置。高强的隐蔽能力，使它具备了一流的情报搜集功能。卓越的适应性成就了这艘独一无二的潜艇。

　　水立方的设计融合了多项科技成果，设计理念更是来自于肥皂泡泡——四氟乙烯。四氟乙烯简写为ＥＴＦＥ，化学家称之为含氟聚合物，我们一般人管它叫塑胶。这种材料以其特殊的结构造就了水立方环保、防火、耐震的特质。

What began as a racing track, and thanks to Adolf Hitler’s World War II propaganda efforts, the track grew into a sophisticated high-speed road system, linking to almost all the major cities in Germany. The Autobahn boasts of having super thick road beds, 4% or less grades, wide lanes, and build on layers of technology. The Autobahn allows vehicles to travel at speeds exceeding 160km/h for roughly 2/3 of its roads. The episode profiles the operations of the highway cops, and their reliance on technology in training, monitoring of roads and various methods of arrest. It also looks at the ADAC, an automobile club, which provides on the spot road assistance. Nicknamed ‘The Yellow Angels’, they also provide air medical rescue. The USS Virginia is the US newest class of attack submarines. Built as a more cost effective submarine than the old Seawolf class, the new submarine is also faster to build. The supersub is equipped with a nuclear powered reactor, advanced spying abilities to see and hear better, auto-navigation systems, various ballistic missiles and torpedoes, has stealth capabilities, is able to deploy navy seals, and can remain motionless in the waters for 3 months. The episode looks at the history of the USS Virginia. The passageway is the lynchpin in a massive hydro-electric project that plans to use the melt water from a massive glacier to make electricity. By 2008, Norway will be connected to the United Kingdom via a 1,200 km super pipeline - the longest sub sea pipeline in the world. But this connection is just one part of an enormous plan to tap into Norway's second largest gas deposit, capable of providing 20 percent of the UK's gas needs for decades to come. Located 3 km below the ocean's surface and 120 km offshore, the deposit is beyond human reach. All construction has to be completed by robots working against strong underwater currents, sub-zero temperatures and extreme wind and wave conditions. When tapped, the gas will be transported to one of the largest automated gas processing plants to prepare it for shipment to Britain. Each phase of this tricky project puts ingenuity and engineering to the ultimate test.

In an attempt to tap some of the most inaccessible natural gas on the planet, five hi-tech mega vessels will complete a 1,800 square mile gas network, over a mile and a half below the ocean's surface. At the heart of the project is the enormous gas-processing platform, the Independence Hub. This massive floating platform stretches over 80 metres and towers almost 34 stories high. If the mega movers succeed in creating this deep sea gas project, the system will produce a whopping 1 billion cubic feet of gas per day, enough to supply nearly 5 million US households. But if the mega movers can't synchronise perfectly to make the complex gas gathering station work, the project will be nothing but a US$2 billion mistake.

Just in time for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, workers are feverishly putting the finishing touches on the National Aquatics Centre – the Beijing Water Cube. A stroke of design genius, this Olympic Megastructure is a steel honeycomb-like frame enclosed entirely by a unique skin, modelled after soap bubbles. Using 90 kilometres worth of steel in 22,000 beams following no conventional straight lines, the Beijing Water Cube must be topped with 100,000 square metres of bubbles. Looking for a truly unique covering, the design team focuses on ETFE – a light-weight plastic invented to protect spaceships from cosmic radiation. Among ETFE’s unique properties, dot patterns on its surface can trap solar energy in the winter and reflect solar energy in the summer, keeping the building cool. The Beijing Water Cube is the largest ETFE construction in the world, and because of its honeycomb-like structure, 3,500 ETFE bubbles must be cut individually, and sized. Factor in that the dimensions have been created in Germany and must be translated into a Chinese database and the Beijing Water Cube becomes a bit of a logistical nightmare. Beijing’s Water Cube represents a true morphing of molecular science, architecture and structural engineering.

三 十 年 来 ， 经 济 高 速 发 展 ， 我 们 看 到 的 除 了 是 一 连 串 数 字 化 的 骄 人 成 就 之 外 ， 背 后 还 有 许 多 「 人 」 的 故 事 ﹕ 多 少 农 民 离 乡 别 井 ， 进 城 工 作 ， 但 他 们 付 出 的 多 ， 收 穫 的 少 ﹔ 一 孩 政 策 之 下 ， 父 母 和 子 女 各 有 各 的 担 忧 ， 一 言 难 尽 ﹔ 工 厂 林 立 ， 为 地 方 带 来 了 高 税 收 ， 也 为 地 方 带 来 严 重 的 污 染 ， 身 受 其 害 的 居 民 哭 诉 著 他 们 的 遭 遇 …
2008 年 ， 中 国 推 行 改 革 开 放 三 十 年 了 ， 要 把 它 的 成 绩 总 括 成 为 一 言 两 语 ， 谈 何 容 易 ﹔ 倒 不 如 近 距 离 地 观 看 一 些 人 、 一 些 事 ， 拼 凑 出 来 的 中 国 新 面 貌 ， 可 能 更 为 真 实 、 更 为 动 人 。

边 缘 上 的 群 体
民 工 群 体 一 直 在 中 国 的 改 革 开 发 经 济 发 展 做 著 默 默 地 贡 献 ， 见 证 了 中 国 的 历 史 变 迁 和 发 展 历 程 。 时 下 ， 广 东 珠 江 三 角 洲 打 工 农 民 “ 民 工 荒 ” 的 回 流 现 象 引 人 注 目 。 进 城 农 民 在 都 市 闯 荡 一 番 后 ， 缘 何 又 回 归 故 土 ， 箇 中 原 委 ， 发 人 深 省 。 边 缘 上 的 群 体 个 案 通 过 两 个 人 物 在 沿 海 地 区 谋 生 打 拼 然 后 回 归 家 乡 的 真 实 写 照 来 透 视 出 中 国 改 革 开 发 30 年 民 工 这 个 社 会 边 缘 群 体 的 就 业 问 题 以 及 变 化 。
入 赘 女 婿
旧 中 国 社 会 ， 男 尊 女 卑 ， 女 性 出 嫁 从 夫 ， 下 一 代 要 跟 随 父 姓 。 可 是 ， 时 移 世 易 ， 曾 被 视 为 封 建 习 俗 的 入 赘 婚 姻 ， 却 在 中 国 静 静 起 革 命 。
位 於 浙 江 省 的 一 些 富 裕 城 市 ， 「 一 孩 政 策 」 令 独 生 女 家 庭 有 「 继 后 香 灯 」 的 需 要 ﹔ 外 省 来 的 男 士 为 投 靠 好 归 宿 ， 自 荐 为 入 赘 女 婿 。 往 日 或 有 比 武 招 亲 ， 今 日 ， 「 入 赘 婚 姻 介 绍 所 」 是 一 门 不 错 的 生 意 。
入 赘 本 来 就 是 各 为 其 主 ﹕ 女 的 希 望 有 自 家 姓 的 孩 子 ﹔ 男 的 希 望 安 居 乐 业 、 从 此 无 忧 。 封 建 时 代 ， 入 赘 女 婿 难 免 遭 人 白 眼 ； 不 过 ， 在 鼓 吹 男 女 平 等 的 新 中 国 社 会 ， 男 人 大 丈 夫 「 嫁 」 作 人 夫 ， 入 赘 成 婿 ， 是 生 活 无 忧 还 是 暗 自 无 奈 ？
摩 梭 也 疯 狂
在 四 川 盐 源 县 瀘 沽 湖 镇 所 属 的 达 祖 村 ， 有 一 个 叫 桑 楚 的 摩 梭 青 年 。 在 桑 楚 的 小 时 候 ， 家 中 的 生 活 贫 困 ， 这 种 情 况 一 直 到 桑 楚 家 在 2000 年 开 设 了 家 庭 旅 馆 “ 格 桑 园 ” 之 后 才 有 了 改 善 。
瀘 沽 湖 边 摩 梭 人 的 生 活 在 新 世 纪 裏 被 捲 进 了 经 济 改 革 的 浪 潮 ， 曾 经 出 去 闯 荡 的 桑 楚 在 2007 年 国 庆 黄 金 周 前 回 到 了 家 乡 ， 和 许 多 族 人 们 一 样 ， 开 始 为 家 庭 旅 馆 在 黄 金 週 期 间 的 生 意 而 忙 碌 ， 往 日 平 静 的 瀘 沽 湖 因 游 客 们 在 长 假 期 的 蜂 拥 而 至 变 得 喧 嚣 异 常 。
族 人 们 在 忙 著 招 揽 和 服 务 游 客 ， 桑 楚 的 父 亲 在 期 待 著 有 见 识 的 儿 子 可 以 帮 助 家 庭 早 一 天 还 完 低 息 贷 款 ， 而 桑 楚 虽 然 表 面 上 也 为 家 庭 旅 馆 尽 心 尽 力 , 但 却 在 心 裏 盘 算 著 自 己 不 顾 家 人 反 对 、 再 次 出 外 寻 求 机 会 ， 成 为 一 个 电 视 明 星 的 梦 … …
还 我 青 山 绿 水
改 革 开 放 三 十 年 ， 工 业 发 展 带 来 经 济 繁 荣 ， 也 带 来 可 怕 的 污 染 。 工 业 废 水 排 放 到 河 中 ， 遗 害 甚 深 ， 令 浙 江 杭 州 坞 里 村 的 村 民 一 个 又 一 个 患 上 癌 症 ， 只 有 初 中 程 度 的 村 民 韦 东 英 把 死 去 的 个 案 一 一 记 录 ， 写 成 为 「 死 亡 笔 记 」 …
张 长 建 是 福 建 屏 南 县 溪 坪 村 的 赤 脚 医 生 ， 眼 见 癌 症 病 人 越 来 愈 多 ， 但 地 方 政 府 却 爱 理 不 理 ， 於 是 与 一 千 七 百 多 名 村 民 联 署 打 官 司 ， 控 告 附 近 的 化 工 厂 。 结 果 ， 官 司 成 功 ， 但 他 感 到 自 己 成 为 地 方 政 府 的 眼 中 钉 …
从 两 条 癌 症 村 的 困 境 ， 反 映 目 前 中 国 水 污 染 对 老 百 姓 造 成 的 祸 害 。 中 国 过 去 三 十 年 经 济 改 革 ， 过 份 强 调 发 展 要 「 快 」 ， 今 日 ， 应 是 醒 觉 要 「 好 」 。
